Frost Lich Jaina and More Legendary Cards Revealed for Hearthstone’s Next Expansion

Another day and another batch of new cards revealed by Blizzard for Knights of the Frozen Throne, the upcoming expansion pack for Hearthstone.

After the initial unveiling of Deathstalker Rexxar, we now have confirmation about Frost Lich Jaina as another one of those new legendary hero cards that will replace the current nine playable heroes with powerful Death Knight versions. It is a new mechanic being introduced with the next expansion pack, and will grant players new modified abilities in the form of new Hero Powers.

Frost Lich Jaina (Mage Hero Legendary)
Mana: 9
Armor: 5
Battlecry: Summon a 3/6 Water Elemental. Your Elementals have Lifesteal this game.

Icy Touch (Hero Power)
Deal 1 damage. If this kills a minion, summon a Water Elemental.

Blizzard has also revealed several more legendary cards for other classes inbound for Hearthstone. The one for Druid in particular seems rather overwhelming. The class has always enjoyed ramping decks, rushing to drop beefy minions as soon as possible. Now, the Druid can call them back in the later stages of the game.

Hadronox (Druid Legendary)
Mana: 9
Attack: 3
Defense: 7
Deathrattle: Summon your Taunt minions that died this game

Bolvar, Fireblood (Paladin Legendary)
Mana: 5
Attack: 1
Defense: 7
Trait: Divine Shield
Other: After a friendly minion loses Divine Shield, gain +2 Attack

Moorabi (Shaman Legendary)
Mana: 6
Attack: 4
Defense: 4
Other: Whenever another minion is Frozen, add a copy of it to your hand

Prince Valanar (Neutral Legendary)
Mana: 4
Attack: 4
Defense: 4
Battlecry: If your deck has no 4-Cost cards, gain Lifesteal and Taunt

Knights of the Frozen Throne is slated to release sometime next month for Hearthstone. The theme explores the possibility of Arthas, the Lich King, successfully defeating all the heroes of Warcraft at Icecrown Citadel and raising them to do his bidding with the malicious powers of Frostmourne.
