Grand Theft Auto 6 announcement could arrive sometime next year. The title is long rumored to be in development and popped up on a number of occasions. So at this point, it is safe to say that Grand Theft Auto 6 is in development already considering how Rockstar develops its game and a new leak from stuntman Tim Neff.
Tim Neff worked on Red Dead Redemption 2 with Rockstar Games and posted about it on his resume at iStunt. However, a recent update to his profile mentions none-other than Grand Theft Auto 6. The profile update suggested that Grand Theft Auto 6 is under development.
Considering how Grand Theft Auto 5 was revealed in 2011 and released in 2013, we can expect an announcement sometime next year. If Red Dead Redemption 2 wasn’t in the way, the title would have been announced sooner, presumably.
Back in June 2016, Rockstar’s ex-President Leslie Benzies also confirmed that GTA 6 is still in early stages of development. He stated that they don’t know what GTA 6 is but they do have some ideas.
It is too early to speculate anything related to gameplay mechanics and storyline. The latest rumor on setting, however, suggests that GTA 6 might include San Fierro and Las Venturas – two places which will excluded from GTA V because of hardware limitations of consoles. Furthermore, it is also in the wind that Rockstar Games might return to Vice City with the untitled iteration.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is releasing on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One early next year. Expect Grand Theft Auto 6 announcement sometime after RDR2 release.
While Red Dead isn’t coming to PC, Grand Theft Auto 6 will release on the biggest gaming platform in the world.
