Lawbreakers Open Beta Going Live on Friday

Lawbreakers open beta is coming our way on PC this Friday. Players will get to experience the new game from the creators of Gears of War. Boss Key Studios, run by the Cliff Blizenski and his team, is creating this online FPS exclusively for PC and PlayStation 4.

For PlayStation fans, devs are also holding a contest where participants will submit their best in-game screenshots from the beta. The winner will have a chance of winning the custom PlayStation 4 console. Here’s what you need to do:

And for those on PS4, there’s the Play The Beta Contest, where if you share a screenshot from the game on Twitter using the hashtags #SkilledAF and #LBBetaPS4, you’ll have a chance at a custom LawBreakers-themed PS4 console!

Lawbreakers is releasing later this year and have gone through a closed testing phase already. This is a chance for everyone to try out the game and experience what this shooter has to offer. The title does not come with a single-player campaign, as confirmed by Boss Key.

However, the studio doesn’t feel right ruling out the possibility of a campaign in the future. There are plenty of interesting characters in the game who can help develop the lore of Lawbreakers.

For now, Lawbreakers lore will reach the player via in-game VO, “account portrait descriptions and narrative scattered throughout the maps, but we’re exploring ways to divulge the deeper storyline outside of the game as well.” This method is used by Overwatch but while these games are similar in their approach to sharing the lore, they are very different games.

Have you tried Lawbreakers previously? What do you think of this game? Let us know in the comments below.
