The first NBA 2K18 screenshots have been released by 2K Games, showing gamers what they can expect when the newest NBA 2K game releases on multiple platforms later this year. The game is the latest in the NBA 2K franchise, the premiere series of basketball games on the market now.
NBA 2K18 has a lot to live up to compared to the previous game in the series, especially since NBA 2K17 won critical acclaim on its release. Thankfully, however, there’s not much it has to do to have a MyCareer mode better than NBA 2K16’s, which was directed by director Spike Lee who took players through the rather divisive story “Livin’ Da Dream” before players actually got to the real MyCareer mode.
Thankfully NBA 2K18 doesn’t appear to have anything else directed by Spike Lee in the game, and since it will be launching in a little under two months, players won’t have to wait very long to get their hands on it either.
The first NBA 2K18 screenshots that we’re seeing are mainly just player pictures, showing the in-game models for Paul George of the Oklahoma City Thunder team, Demar Derozan of the Toronto Raptors, and Isaiah Thomas of the Boston Celtics. While we can’t see anything else about the game, the in-game models do look very good, with a lot of detail and looking almost identical to the actual player.
Hopefully in the short period of time between now and when the game releases, we’ll be able to see not only more screenshots, but also a good bit of gameplay as well. And, hopefully, the game will be just as good as NBA 2K17, or perhaps even better.
