God Of War is one of the most anticipated PlayStation exclusives and fans are excited about the game. Sony Santa Monica has revealed that the game pushes PS4 to its limits for its physical-based rendering and now the devs have revealed that they have already planned sequels for the game.
Speaking with Dailystar, director Cory Barlog talked about the upcoming God Of War and revealed that he has already planned multiple games after this. He added that his plans for the story go well beyond the game and the game is pretty much building towards to what he has planned.
I will say that when I chose this story, I had chosen it because I already outlined and mapped out stories for multiple games.
I have an ark in my head that goes well beyond this game and everything that we are doing in God of War, to me, is very much building towards that.
In related news, Cory Barlog has assured that Atreus will be quite useful in the game and will be a competent companion since many fans were worried that the game will be like an escort mission and players will be constantly worried about Atreus.
Atreus moves on the battlefield on his own. He’s competent enough to get out of the way when he pulls the attention of the enemies. There’s a risk/reward system there. You can use him in battle but, if you do it too much, he could get overrun and knocked out. He’s not dead, but you won’t have use of him until you go over and wake him up. The only time the son is in danger is when you put him in danger. I find that really fascinating, that you won’t have anyone to blame but yourself.
God Of War is an upcoming action-adventure game in development at Sony Santa Monica Studio and will launch exclusively for PlayStation 4.
