Bandai Namco has released a new video showcasing 30 minutes of Ni No Kuni II gameplay. The Ni No Kuni II gameplay video gives us our first look at the two new areas which the visitors at E3 2017 were able to play during their hands-on demo experience.
Ni No Kuni II gameplay footage also sheds some more light on some of the characters players will encounter during their journey in the Revenant Kingdom. Since the game is built for current generation hardware, the differences between this version and the original game which released on PS3 are also apparent.
The full video, featuring lots of combat, teamwork and beautiful visuals can be seen on the official Bandai Namco YouTube channel.
Developers, Level-5 had previously shared some information regarding the plot of Ni No Kuni II
In the world of Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, players enter the kingdom of Ding Dong Dell, where cats, mice, and humans once lived in harmony. After a treacherous coup, Evan, the young boy king of Ding Dong Dell is banished from his kingdom. Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom recounts the story of this deposed king and his journey to build his own kingdom and unite the entire world. Supporting Evan on his adventure are friends Roland, Tani, and beings known as Higgledies who come from the power of the hearts found within people, animals, and elements such as fire and wind.
Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will be releasing on 19th January on both PS4 and PC. The announcement for the PC version was made earlier this year considering the rise of JRPG popularity on the platform in recent months.
Whether the sequel manages to live up to the amazing original game for Nintendo DS and an enhanced PS3 release or not remains to be seen. The first game managed to sell more than a million units globally but given the install base of PS4 and PC, the sequel sales can be expected to be much higher.
