Metal Gear is one of the longest running franchises in the industry and has sold over 51.3 million units. Metal Gear Survive is the next entry in this franchise and the majority of the fans are not happy with this upcoming game and now Konami has announced that Metal Gear Survive will be playable at Gamescom 2017 along with PES 2018.

Konami has revealed that Metal Geat Survive will be playable at the booth in hall 5.2/A030/B031 and players will be able to try out the co-op mode for the game that supports up to four players. Also, PES 2018 will be playable at the event and Konami will also showcase the REAL Capture system.

The REAL Capture system for PES 2018 gives realistic lighting for both day and night matches. Gamescom 2017 will be held in Cologne, Germany and will start on August 22 and will continue till August 26.

In related news, series creator, Hideo Kojima, is not happy with the direction in which Metal Gear franchise is going with the upcoming Metal Gear Survive. According to Kojima, the game has nothing in common with the franchise.

It has nothing to do [with me]. I know absolutely nothing about it. That’s because it’s totally unrelated to me, right? Um, how should I put this? Well, for me, Metal [Gear] is espionage with political fiction. Right? So, because of that, there’s no reason that zombies would show up. This is how I see it, you know?

Also, a Metal Gear Solid movie is in the works, many assumed that the project is dead, until recently director Jordan Vogt-Roberts(Kong Skull Island) assured that the movie is in development.

Metal Gear Survive is a co-op survival action game and it will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC sometime in 2017.
