If PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Beats Fallout 4 In Most Concurrent Players The Top 3 Games Will Be Mods
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been selling like hot cakes and it is interesting to see that the top 2 games as of right now, with the most concurrent players, are mod based. These are Dota2 with 1,291,328 peak players and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive with 850,485. Fallout 4 is at number 3 with 471,955 players.
As of this month, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds peaked with 382,561 players. It is at number 4, just under Fallout 4 and if it manages to beat Fallout 4 then the top 3 games with the most concurrent players will all be mods. Let’s take a look at which games these mods are based on.
Counter-Strike is based on Half Life, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is just a better version of the game and DOTA2 is a mod of World of Warcraft. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a more “perfected” version of ARMA and H1Z1 which have not done as well. PlayerUnknown has worked on H1Z1 and has decided to make a similar game.
According to statistics players have played 371,633,539 hours of DOTA2, 268,049,622 hours of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and 140,568,411 hours of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. These are very impressive numbers considering the game is in early access and has not even been completed yet.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has already surpassed GTA V’s Peak Concurrent Player Count and will soon beat Fallout 4 as well. This is what I think will happen, seeing how the game is yet to be released. There are people that will want to buy the game when the game has been completed.
The early adopters are having the time of theirs lives but it is pretty plain by people would be hesitant about a game that is still in early access. There has been a lot of news concerning the release of the game and it seems that the game will be completed before the end of the year.
