Razer Smartphones IPO Filing Indicates The Company Is Already Working On Getting Into The Mobile Market

Back when Razer acquired Nextbit, we talked about the possibility of Razer smartphones and it seems that we were right. The company has now filed an IPO that indicates that the company might be entering into the mobile market sooner than we thought. But that does not mean that you should expect Razer smartphones to be around the corner.

A lot of research and development goes into making a smartphone and then mass producing the final design. Razer has a had a lot of success in the PC market but that does not mean that the same can be said about the smartphone market as well.

The smartphone market is full of competition and the company will weigh the risk before entering. On the other side, Razer could use resources from Nextbit in order to make Razer smartphones a thing. Razer has made a good reputation in the PC market and we know that Razer stands for premium quality.

We expect Razer smartphones to have the same qualities as well. This means that Razer smartphones will have a unique design and some kind of connection with gaming and in order to keep up with the competition, Razer smartphones will need to have some serious hardware. That will come at a price.

As Razer is known for making premium products do not expect the Razer smartphone to be cheap. You will be paying a lot of money for this upcoming device. We do not have information regarding price or availability but seeing how the IPO has just been filed the device might be a few months if not a year away.
