PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Surpassed GTA V’s Peak Concurrent Player Count
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been very popular among gamers and it is showing no signs of slowing down. Recently, the game managed to knock down CS GO and this week the game has surpassed GTA V for its concurrent players on Steam.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds now stands at number 4 on Steam Charts for its concurrent players on Steam. The game surpassed GTA V this week by peaking 382,561 players which overtook GTA 5’s 360,761 peak. The game is now on track to surpass Fallout 4 which stands at number 3 and given how fast it is going up, it would not be surprising that it manages to surpass Fallout 4.
In related news, Battlegrounds is currently in early access which means that there are a lot of features that still need to be added to the game and also, also some features that need balancing. Now, the studio has revealed that players will have much more customization options for their characters.
Chang Han Kim, Bluehole’s executive producer mentioned that the developers are working on adding a lot more customization options to the game.
We plan to give our users much more control over character appearance by implementing Anticto’s Mutable character customization system. Soon, you will be able to design your character to a tee
Also, the studio is also considering 1st person dedicated servers for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. However, devs have clarified that these are not coming soon as it will require the full attention of our game, platform, and engineering and gameplay teams which at the moment are busy optimizing the game.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a multiplayer survival game currently in early access for PC and will launch for consoles later.
