Following cryptic hints and teasers, Bandai Namco has announced the next character that will be joining the Tekken 7 roster in the ongoing season.
During the Evolution Championship Series (EVO 2017) over the weekend, the developer confirmed Geese Howard as the latest downloadable character for the game. For those unaware, the guest appearance is the chief antagonist of the Fatal Fury series. He has also undertaken the villainous role in other fighting franchises such as The King of Fighters and The Art of Fighting.
From the lore book, Geese is a successful businessman with shady ties to the underworld. He stands proud and considers himself a mighty warrior. Though disciplined, he craves power and seeks to destroy all who dare stand in his way. At the same time, those who ally themselves with him or gain his respect are entitled for rewards.
Geese is able to gather powerful chi energy from Gaia, the spirit of mother-earth, and channel it in the form of destructive waves called Reppuuken. He can also infuse his normal attacks with chi energy to cause more harm. In addition, one of his most powerful attacks is summoning a gyser of energy from below the ground to catch opponents off guard.
Throughout the years, Geese has displayed a fascination with Japan. He is often seen clothed in the region’s cultural decorum. In Tekken 7, he returns in his signature red hakama pants as he vows to destroy every standing fighter and prove himself as the ultimate fighting being on the planet.
Geese will release for Tekken 7 this fall and a precise release date will be mentioned later on. He will arrive with a brand new stage, his very own Geese Tower, as shown in the trailer above. He is not the first guest character to be announced for the game. Tekken 7 released with Akuma from the Street Fighter universe, having a profound part to play in the storyline.
