Gran Turismo Sport has been in development for quite some time and after delaying the game last year, Polyphony Digital did not share any specific release date for the game. However, Gran Turismo Sport now finally has a release date.
Polyphony Digital has confirmed that Gran Turismo Sport will launch on October 17, 2017. The game was originally set for November 2016 but, was delayed to ensure that the devs do not have to sacrifice on game’s quality. Polyphony president Kazunori Yamauchi has also revealed that more details for the game will be revealed till before the game’s release.
Between now and launch you can expect to hear a lot more from the GT team as we unveil more information on the many features included in Gran Turismo Sport, including the campaign mode, various creative tools, as well as a full reveal on all the cars and tracks you can look forward to racing on launch day!
Developer Polyphony Digital has also announced the PSVR support for the upcoming Gran Turismo, however, the game will not be fully playable in VR.
Polyphony Digital President Kazanori Yamauchi has confirmed that Gran Turismo Sport will not be fully playable in VR and will have VR Tour game mode instead. This means that players will probably not be able to race with the VR headset plugged in.

Gran Turismo Sport is an upcoming racing video game in development at Polyphony Digital and will launch on October 17, 2017, exclusively for PlayStation 4.
