Assassin’s Creed Origins is set to launch later this year and fans are eager to know more about the game. Players will be able to tame animals and Ubisoft has been revealing new details about the game. This time the studio has opened up about the Assassin’s Creed Origins Loot system.
Speaking with Stevivor, game director Ashraf Ismail talked about the Assassin’s Creed Origins Loot system and called it a smart loot system. He added that while it is a smart loot system but, it is not completely random and players can go out and hunt for the desired equipment.
Let’s say at the end of the gladiator arena. The top tier of the gladiator arena gives you, let’s say, one of the best axes in the game — a legendary version of it. It’s a smart loot system; it’s not purely random, but we wanted that players can go out into the world and hunt for this equipment without saying exclusively, ‘This one spear is here, this one axe is here.’
That’s the big thing we wanted. What rarity will [the loot] be? What quality will it be? What type will the be?
The level will always be at the very least trying to match the level you’re at in relation to the enemies. If there’s too much of a gap we don’t want you to break the system. Generally speaking, we try to reward the player for the effort they put in.
Assassin’s Creed Origins is an upcoming action RPG in development at Ubisoft and is scheduled to launch on October 27, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
