Spider-Man PS4 was announced back in 2016 at E3 and was again showed this year. The footage went into details about the game’s gameplay mechanics, graphics, and the kind of New York we’ll get to explore. While the footage looked great both graphically and gameplay wise, some showed concerns over its apparent downgrade from the 2016 build.
However, that is not the case at all; according to Insomniac Games’ official Twitter account, there is no downgrade since 2016. Spider Man PS4 was running exactly at the same graphical fidelity as previously shown, perhaps even better.
When requested an explanation for the downgrade, the official Twitter account replied by saying that there was none to Spider Man PS4.

The developer was also asked about the possibility of a Spyro remastered considering the success of Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy. The Twitter account replied by saying that even if they do develop a remaster, they will outsource the project.
Insomniac Games also previously clarified that the Spider man game will not be an origin story, but will feature an experienced Spider man, when a fan mentioned that he likes the origin outfit of Spider man.
Moreover, there are rumors that the lineup of villains faced by Spidey in this game includes Prowler and Vulture, who also appeared in Homecoming.
The new Spider Man game is releasing on PlayStation 4in early 2018. PlayStation 4 Pro support has also been confirmed by Sony Interactive Entertainment and Insomniac Games. More on the game will be shared in the coming months.
