Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Release Date On Xbox One Revealed

Beginning December 12, Xbox fans will be able to play Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds while it’s still in early access through the Xbox Game Preview program.

Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds is coming to Xbox One soon, marking a new era for the title hitting consoles. Beginning December 12, Xbox fans will be able to play Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds while it’s still in early access through the Xbox Game Preview program.

Chang Han Kim, CEO of PUBG Corp. gave more information about PUBG’s Xbox One version on his post on Xbox Blog saying that he’s been excited to give us the release date of the game on Microsoft’s console. He stated that Microsoft and PUBG Corp. have been working closely for this edition, as a result PUBG on Xbox One will be slightly different than the PC version so that it can provide the same level of excitement for players.

To celebrate Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds launch on Xbox One, the company collaborated with Xbox to create three special, limited-edition cosmetic packs – the PUBG Warrior Pack, the PUBG Accessory Pack and the PUBG Tracksuit Pack. These packs are exclusive to Xbox fans as standalone offers available for a limited time and as there are no plans to feature any in-game purchases in the Xbox Game Preview version.

Han Kim also revealed that Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds 1.0 is coming to PC in late December, featuring new content for our favorite battle royale title. Regarding both versions of the game he explained:

Both versions are being developed at the same time, but they both have their own separate roadmaps. Various Xbox One features and functionality will change and come online over time just like they have on PC, with our goal being to have both versions align to each other as soon as possible.

As Brendan Green -the PlayerUnknown himself- announced a week ago during TwitchCon, Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds on Xbox One will be released as a retail version since he believes “seeing your game in a store is going to be cool”.

With 15 million copies sold and 2 million concurrent players, it’s hard not to see PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds as the hottest video game right now. We are waiting for more cool stuff to be announced soon regarding Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds 1.0 on PC.

Always looking for a deep story, empathetic characters, and a great soundtrack in video games. Hardcore game hoarder and a strong believer that one day Xbox will win the console war.
