Platinum Games and Square Enix Alone Can’t Fix NieR: Automata: Square Enix Rep

According to Square Enix, the issues with Nier: Automata can't be fixed by Platinum Games alone. Hardware makers like AMD need to help.

Platinum Games and Square Enix released NieR: Automata earlier this year, it has been over 4 months since the game came out but it the developer’s lack of interest in the PC version had the community throwing a fit. Ever since the release of the game Platinum Games didn’t release a single update on PC.

Currently, there are so many issues with the game that players are renaming the game as “Nier Bugmata.” However, not releasing any patches to fix the problems is really odd and after we pointed it out, Eurogamer went ahead and got a comment from Square Enix over the matter.

According to Square Enix, the issues with Nier: Automata can’t be fixed by Platinum Games alone. Hardware makers like AMD would need to work with the developer to fix the game.

Square Enix and PlatinumGames are working with PC device manufacturers, like AMD, to address the issues with the Steam version of the game because some of the issues are not what Square Enix and PlatinumGames alone can resolve fundamentally. With AMD’s help, Square Enix and PlatinumGames have successfully resolved some of the issues, and we hope to achieve similar results with other hardware makers. We appreciate your continued patience and support for NieR: Automata

There is still no update available for the PC version but we can expect something soon. Nier: Automata is now available on PlayStation 4, PC.
