Nioh’s Second DLC, Defiant Honor, Set For A 25th July Release And Will Add New Weapons, Locations And Enemies

Team Ninja has finally revealed the release date of the upcoming Nioh DLC, Defiant Honor. The second DLC of the game will be dropping on PS4 consoles on 25th July as the developer’s recent blog post mentions the team is putting the final touches on it.

This new DLC, Defiant Honor, will take players to the Osaka Castle and will feature characters like Sanada Yukimura who serves Toyotomi clan.

It is this Sanada Yukimura who builds a stronghold called Sanada Maru on the outskirts of Osaka Castle. Players will once again take on the role of William who travels to Osaka Castle in pursuit of Maria.

The Defiant Honor DLC will also add new items to the game in the form of new weapon Tonfa, new armor, magic items as well as new Yokai for players to fight against.

Defiant Honor will also add new trophies to the highly successful Nioh for those who want to unlock all of them and maintain their Platinum Trophy. Alongside the trophies, numerous side missions, stages and difficulty levels will also be included in the DLC.

The Defiant Honor DLC will be available to purchase from PlayStation store for $10 or if players already own the Season Pass, they get access to the DLC for free.

The first Nioh DLC, Dragon of the North came out back in May and similar to the game, was met with generally favorable reviews. Let’s hope Team Ninja continues this tradition of good quality DLC with Defiant Honor.

Defiant Honor is the second of the total of 3 paid DLCs for the game included in the season pass. There is currently no word on when the final DLC, Bloodshed’s End will release but it should be before the end of this year.

Team Ninja’s Dark Souls-esque Action RPG Nioh is currently available to play exclusively on PS4.
