FIFA 18 Features Better Referees, EA Admits There Were Problems Last Year

According to EA, FIFA 18 features a better referee system compared to last year’s edition. There have been a number of odd behavior reports about the referees in FIFA 17. EA took notice of the problems and is going to do better this year.

FIFA games have a historic problem with the referees. They are too inconsistent and are often making calls that result in broken controllers. This year, we want EA to pay some attention to referees. They need to be more consistent and make calls that are fair and in accordance with the foul.

EA acknowledged the problem and stated that this year the referees will be overhauled. How and what changes we will see is unknown but more details on this topic are expected soon. Gamescom is around the corner so expect more details about FIFA 18 when the show hits next month.

There are a number of other problems with FIFA and this year we may just see a much better game with actual improvements to gameplay.

FIFA 18 is releasing later this year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. PlayStation is getting all the content Xbox users are used to enjoy in FIFA games. FIFA 18 was just announced with a short trailer and details are starting to surface. According to EA, there is no longer any partnership with Microsoft for exclusive content for Xbox One and Xbox 360.
