Nintendo has announced a Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild artbook that will take readers through the creative process of developing the game. It will be the third book released about the Legend of Zelda, and will contain a large amount of art and commentary from the developers.
The other two books that have been written for the Legend of Zelda are the Arts and Artifacts book, and the Hyrule Historia encyclopedia, which both delighted Legend of Zelda fans with a huge amount of information about the game world and a ton of beautiful art to go along with it. The Hyrule Historia book even came with a semi-official timeline of the Legend of Zelda series.
The Breath of the Wild artbook appears to be more of the same, not that that’s a bad thing. With how huge the world of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is, there’s probably going to be a ton of content dealing with the various enemies you fight, the races you encounter from Rito to Zora, and most likely a lot more.
Unfortunately, aside from the official announcement and three pictures (what looks like the cover and two concept art pages showing what looks like a whale-like Zora and an early concept of Prince Sidon), there’s not really any other information from Nintendo about what all this new book will contain.
So far the book is only in Japanese, according to those sneak preview pages. However, as soon as the book can be translated over to English and any other language necessary, Nintendo will hopefully release it. We don’t know when the book will be released, either, but hopefully it’ll be sometime soon.
In the meantime, anyone that’s a Zelda fan might want to keep a lookout for news about the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild artbook.
