A What Remains Of Edith Finch Xbox One port may be coming to the Microsoft console soon after months of being exclusive for the Playstation 4, according to the European classification system. The system clearly labeled the game as being for Xbox One, though it was released for Playstation 4 and PC in April.
What Remains Of Edith Finch is a first person narrative adventure game developed by Giant Sparrow. It tells the story of the eponymous Edith Finch, who returns to her family home in the state of Washington to learn more about her family’s history. While inside the house, Edith uncovers secret passageways and the frozen memories of her family members in certain points in time.
The game proved to be a critical success, winning a great deal of acclaim from a large number of reviewers. With such a good response, it’s no surprise that Giant Sparrow may want to make a What Remains Of Edith Finch Xbox One port, in order to bring it to a third platform, since the game was originally for the Playstation 4 and PC.
Previously, the developers at Giant Sparrow had said that while they were focusing on the Playstation 4 and the PC as the game’s original launch platforms, they were considering bringing the game to other platforms as well.
According to the classification document, the game was supposed to be released for that platform on June 20. However, since that date has come and gone, we’re sort of in the dark about when exactly the game will release for the Xbox One, if it does at all and the rating thing is correct.
Either way, all Xbox fans that want to play the game can do is just wait and hope that the news is true. A What Remains of Edith Finch Xbox One port would allow the game more success, but that depends on what the developers want.
