Halo is one of the most popular Xbox exclusives and while 343 Industries has revealed that Halo 6 won’t be announced anytime soon but, seems that we might be getting an announcement related to Halo this week if the tweet from Halo franchise director is any indication.
Halo franchise director Frank O’Connor posted on his Twitter account that “Will be a good week to be a Halo fan this week. And a good week for BBQ for me!”. The Tweet seems to be an indication to RTX in Austin, Texas that will take place from July 7 to July 9 and Austin is also associated with good BBQ joints.
Halo will have a panel at RTX on Saturday, July 8, and will start at 11 AM and this could be the very place the announcement for Halo might be coming from. On the panel, multiplayer director Tom French and Microsoft Studios senior creative director Joseph Staten will be joining Frank so expect some big announcement.
While the game is not going to be announced anytime soon but, that does not mean that the studio is not talking about it. According to the studio, Halo 5 was a learning experience for them and promised that these mistakes will not be repeated in Halo 6.
In related news, Halo franchise is among the most popular exclusive franchises for Xbox but, according to FPS control designer at Bungie, Jaime Griesemer, Microsoft hated the name Halo for its mega FPS franchise. He added that Microsoft had so many reasons to change the name of Halo franchise and months went on for deciding the name for the game.
Furthermore, next Halo and Gears Of War are nowhere near announcement but, Xbox head Phil Spencer visited the studios for the respective games and revealed that the games are just wonderful.
