Nintendo Switch has been getting a lot of attention from the third-party developer which is not as much surprising since the hybrid console has been selling like hot cakes. Minecraft Story Mode the Complete first season is coming to the console and Telltale Games is the dev behind it who praised the console and also hinted that other titles might also come to Switch.
Speaking with Gamespot, Telltale Games’ head of communications Job Stauffer talked about Nintendo Switch and the possibility of the Minecraft Season 2 coming to the hybrid console. According to Job, while the studio has not announced the second season for Switch but, hopes that it will be in the future.
He added that it would not be surprising if other Telltale Games’ series might end up on Switch as the console is perfect for the games they develop as all their games are same on mobile and consoles.
We haven’t quite announced [Minecraft: Story Mode Season 2 for Switch] but we certainly hope to continue things on that platform; we’re big fans.
It wouldn’t be unheard if more of our series also made it to Switch; we love the platform. It’s kind of perfect for what we do. All of our games are the same on mobile as they are on consoles. And for a mobile console [like the Switch] it’s pretty awesome.
Aside from the first season of Minecraft’s story mode, Minecraft is already available for Nintendo Switch. However, the game is locked at 7120p for both docked and the handheld mode. But, Microsoft has assured that 1080p mode is not ruled out and the game is not locked at 720p because of the console’s hardware.
Telltale is currently working on Guardians Of The Galaxy game which is also a point and click adventure like its previous titles. Let’s see if Telltale will bring that game to Switch or not.
