Thanks to a surprising transaction made recently, the Houston Rockets in the upcoming NBA 2K18 will boast the highest rated backcourt in the entire game. After acquiring Chris Paul in a trade, the team has now successfully surpassed Klay Thompson and Stephan Curry of the Golden State Warriors.

Having an overall rating of 91, Paul is currently the third best Point Guard in the series – behind Russell Westbrook and Stephen Curry. Paul is now paired up with James Harden who boasts an overall rating of 96 – making them the highest rated backcourt duo in the game. They are followed by Curry [95] and Thompson [88], Wall [90] and Beal [87], & DeRozan [89] and Lowry [88].

In addition to this, Paul also brings his ability to score at the rim, mid-range game, and defense. While Harden outshines Paul in passing skills, Paul’s defense is considerably higher than Beverley and around 20-30 points higher than Harden across all categories.

It goes without saying that the acquisition of Chris Paul by the Houston Rockets will most definitely improve them as a team in the upcoming NBA 2K18, playing on the real court will be a different matter altogether. It remains to be seen how the two players will gel together and what tidings they will bring for the Rockets.

Some of the NBA rookies also predicted their NBA 2K18 player ratings that are more realistic than the ratings guessed by NFL newcomers. To find out more, head over to the post!

NBA 2K18 is scheduled to release on Sept. 19, 2017 on Playstation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
