Destiny 2 is a few months away from launch and fans are eager to get their hands on the game. Bungie has made a lot of changes to Destiny 2 including the weapons systems which Bungie admitted was a tough sell internally and now the studio has revealed some new details about Destiny 2 weapons.
Speaking with Mashable, game director Luke Smith confirmed that Destiny 2 weapons will no longer have random rolls. In the first game, each weapon had a random assortment of perks and players had to grind a lot to find the perfect match for their favorite weapon. However, in Destiny 2 players will have to grind no more to find the perfect match.
For those players who want to keep playing in hopes to find the perfect roll for their favorite weapon in Destiny 2, Smith said that the development team has some ideas for it.
How can my second, third, and tenth Better Devils hand cannon be interesting? That’s a question we should be asking and answering as quickly as we can. We have ideas.
While I would like nothing more than to share those ideas with you, we’re up against [a deadline]. I don’t know if they’ll make it for our Sept. 6 [release] date. But we have some ideas that we’re pretty excited about.
Also, Bungie has assured gamers that Destiny 2 will be more accessible to players and will be compatible with the “real life”. According to game director Luke Smith, with the first game the studio failed to make the game more accessible or make it compatible with “real life” but, that will change with Destiny 2.
Destiny 2 is a first-person action shooter in development at Bungie and is scheduled to launch this fall for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
