Ubisoft will be bringing back Assassin’s Creed after one year break with Assassin’s Creed Origins. Ubisoft first revealed the game at Microsoft’s E3 press conference and many would have noticed that it will be the first true action RPG in the franchise. However, the studio is also mindful of the optional content in the game and promises that it won’t be run of the mill content.
Speaking with Gamereactor, Game Director Ashraf Ismail talked about Assassin’s Creed Origins and how the studio is working to ensure that the game features high-quality optional content. He added that there is a lot of optional content in the game and it is full of surprises.
We have a lot of surprises in there, a lot of it is optional content, we put a lot of effort into having really high quality optional content. The idea that ancient Egypt is mysterious, that it invokes this awe feeling, we wanted to feel that in the game.
So, we’ve gone overboard into making sure that there’s a lot of optional content that will constantly surprise the player, show quality, show a narrative value, show the meaning of why this is the place the Brotherhood came to be. We definitely play with that, I want people to be lost in this world and to be in awe with the majesty of ancient Egypt.
Ubisoft has also revealed that the upcoming game will also feature multiple protagonists but, the studio has confirmed that other protagonists will be limited to specific missions and also confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Origins will not feature multiplayer.
