Given that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is an early access title there are a lot of tweaks that the game requires. With the studio making changes to the assists mechanic and revealing the two new maps, devs have confirmed that with an upcoming patch PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Loot System will be tweaked a bit to make it much more balanced.
In the Latest Blog post, the studio detailed the changes that will be made with the upcoming patch to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds loot system. The studio describes it as the “first real pass” at making balances to the loot system. According to the devs, not all items will be tweaked but just the ones that spawn more or less frequently than they should.
Not all items had issues, but we decided it was necessary to adjust some of the items that were spawned too much or too little for their tiers.
Even though it’s not bug-related, we also hope to improve the item looting experience for items that we’ve received a lot of user feedback on. Such improvements and adjustments will be made on a regular basis based on various data analysis and feedback.
The patch will also see the inclusion of new weapons including the Groza and the P18C 9mm pistol. Also, the VSS will no longer be dropped in care packages but will only be available as spawns on the map.
the studio has confirmed that a single-player mode for the game is also in the works. Players will fight to take one area at a time from the army and will be able to play with 3 or 4 players and join hands to free the island.
Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds is a multiplayer survival game currently in early access for PC and will launch for consoles later.
