Tekken 7 Jack-7 Strategy Guide

Playing as Jack-7

Jack-7 in T7 has arguably the best range in the game that allows him to keep his opponents at an arm’s length using jabs. He has incredibly fast low attacks at i12 that put him on a Frame Advantage on-block and deal decent damage. Due to this, he can easily set-up frame traps near the walls. While playing as Jack-7, you should easily be able to prevent your opponents from getting in close and continuously punish their feeble attempts.

He also has fairly decent throw game including a wallsplat throw and another throw that you can use to initiate a devastating combo. On the other hand, Jack-7 does lack when it comes to his sidestepping game and homing attacks. Therefore, do note that players like AO who like to sidestep a lot will gain an advantage over you.

Coming to his combo potential, he has long reach on his standard d/f + 2 launcher. As a beginner combo, you can use d/f + 2, 1 + 2, Screw!, f, f 1 + 2, 2. If you want a little advanced combo, you can try d/f +2, d/f + 3, 2 Screw!, Forward Dash, f + 4, b + 3, 2, 2. While executing the advanced combo, you must come to neutral stance after dashing in to successfully land the standing 4. If you manage to wallcarry your opponent, you can either use b + 3, 2, 2 or use b + 3, 2, d/f + 3 + 4.

Overall, Jack-7 in Tekken 7 has insane keepout, strong throw game, decent low attacks, and he can punish characters better than most of the characters due to his long reach. On the other hand, he does lack in departments like sidestepping and homing attacks. Moreover, his larger size allow characters to land bigger combos successfully.
