Xbox One X was the highlight of Microsoft’s E3 2017 press conference, however, gamers have raised their concerns that the company had a weak showing for its exclusive games. Halo is one of the most popular exclusive Xbox franchises and fans are waiting for Halo 6 and now devs have confirmed that the reveal won’t be happening soon.
In a recent post on Halo Waypoint, 343 Industries writer Jeff Easterling talked about Halo 6 being absent at E3 2017. He made it clear that the studio will not be talking about the upcoming Halo for quite some time and the reveal will not be happening anytime soon.
While there’s little to nothing that can be said on that front, it’s been made clear that we won’t be talking about Halo’s next major title for quite some time. And no, that doesn’t mean Gamescom. Or PAX. Trust us, when we’re ready to begin pulling back that proverbial curtain, you’ll know. It won’t be soon.
Prior to E3 2017, the studio had already revealed that the game will not be announced at the annual event. Also, 343 Industries has also confirmed that the upcoming Halo game will not be revealed during Gamescom 2017.
While the game is going to be announced anytime soon but, that does not mean that the studio is not talking about it. According to the studio, Halo 5 was a learning experience for them and promised that these mistakes will not be repeated in Halo 6.
Halo franchise is among the most popular exclusive franchises for Xbox but, according to FPS control designer at Bungie, Jaime Griesemer, Microsoft hated the name Halo for its mega FPS franchise. He added that Microsoft had so many reasons to change the name of Halo franchise and months went on for deciding the name for the game.
What are your expectation for the next entry in the Halo franchise? Let us know in the comments.
