One thing you might have noticed at Sony’s E3 conference last night was the lack of The Last Of Us Part 2, despite there being a short video about Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. The studio actually is eager to show us The Last Of Us, but are showing us Uncharted first.
While Uncharted: The Lost Legacy did get a short video reel at E3 2017’s Sony conference, we didn’t get a video about The Last Of Us.
The Last Of Us Part 2 is one of the most-anticipated Naughty Dog games out there, especially since Uncharted has now been essentially completed aside from The Lost Legacy, which is a standalone, shorter expansion. But gamers really want more of Joel and Ellie, especially since the last game ended somewhat anticlimactically.
For the meantime, however, we’re going to India, rather than a post-apocalyptic United States. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy stars veteran Uncharted characters Nadine and Chloe as they head to India to find the Tusk of Ganesh, while also avoiding a mercenary group fighting in a brutal civil war that’s ripping the country apart.
We don’t really know anything about The Last Of Us, however, and what the plot will be since the “Get Ellie to the Fireflies to try and stop the Cordyceps plague” plot didn’t pan out. With there still being a while to go before we get a release date for The Last Of Us 2 (it may come either early 2018 or late 2018 or sometime later this year), for now we’ll just have to wait.
But, don’t worry. Since it’s Naughty Dog, one of the best developers on the Playstation 4 (and in the video game business in general), you can bet that the wait for The Last Of Us Part 2 will be worth it. In the meantime, if you’re an Uncharted fan, you still have something to work your way through until The Last Of Us comes out.
