Microsoft revealed Forza 7 during its E3 press conference and showcased the game running at 4K on Xbox One X. Developer, Turn 10 studios is very serious about supporting almost every type of USB controller and wheel in the market for Forza Motorsport 7, even the PlayStation 4’s Dualshock 4 controller.
Forza Motorsport 7 producer Bill Giese revealed that the PC version of the game will not only support the driving wheel but, will also support DUalsshock 4 controller is players want to play with it. Players can use Dualshock 4 and the USB wheel that Logitech designed for Gran Turismo to play the upcoming Forza 7.
According to the studio, this is the evidence that they have done everything to support as many devices for the game as possible. “The reason I mentioned the PlayStation 4 Logitech wheel is because that is one of our most requested options by fans”.
There are a lot of peripherals in the market available for racing titles that players can use to immerse themselves in the game and Turn 10 Studios is aiming to support all of them for Forza 7 and even teased with details for peripherals that players will never get to use to play the game.
Last week I raced on a Guitar Hero guitar and drum kit as well as a DDR dance pad. Players aren’t going to do that, but it was awesome to be able to plug anything in and see that it maps.
The studio has also confirmed the wheelless cockpit view for the game which is targeted to the players who plan to use a driving wheel.
In related news, Microsoft also revealed Xbox One X during its E3 2017 press conference and Forza Motorsport 7 was the first game showcased running on the console. Forza 7 will run at native 4K/60 FPS on the console and even after that, the console will have 30% spare GPU power.
