Sony’s E3 2017 press conference has kicked off with Uncharted: The Lost Legacy gameplay trailer. The footage takes us deep within the ancient ruins of Hindu temples and secrets of the gods. The Lost Legacy brings 10 hours of gameplay, adding to the chaos of Uncharted 4.
Uncharted The Lost Legacy focuses on two prior Uncharted characters: Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross. With India in the middle of a brutal civil war, Ross and Frazer will be searching for the fabled Tusk of Ganesh, with another mercenary group hot on their heels.
The Lost Legacy will be optimized for PlayStation 4 Pro, running at checkerboard 4K. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy gameplay trailer seems to be running to on a PS4 Pro. The game will also support High Dynamic Range(HDR) to go with the dynamic 4K resolution.
The DLC is now available for pre-order with a dynamic PS4 theme as the pre-order incentive. Those looking for another game after The Lost Legacy will be disappointed to know that Sony has confirmed that there won’t be another Uncharted game.
According to studio co-president Evan Wells, another Uncharted game from Naughty Dog is very unlikely after Uncharted: The Lost Legacy as the studio has a lot of stuff going on for it.
I would say that Naughty Dog doing an Uncharted after this is unlikely. I would never say never, but we’ve got The Last of Us Part 2 on our plates and there’s so much other stuff that [we want to explore].
Uncharted The Lost Legacy is an action-adventure game in development at Naughty Dog and is scheduled to launch on August 22, 2017, exclusively for PlayStation 4.
