Sony’s Electronic Entertainment Expo 2017 press conference is about to begin in a few hours and fans are excited to see what SIE has in Store for them. However, it seems that Sony might be revealing something related to the critically acclaimed Shadow of Colossus as the company has just trademarked it along with other patents.
The trademark for Shadow of Colossus has been filed under Class 9 computer game software and Class 41 online game services, which might indicate that either Sony will reveal a remastered version of Shadow of Colossus or a sequel to it which will also include a multiplayer component.
Speaking of the game, recently, The Last Guardian game director Fumito Ueda revealed that he is interested in bringing the Shadow Of Colossus to VR but according to him, he has some doubts about the technology.
If I were to release Shadow Of The Colossus for PSVR, I would feel a responsibility to create something that goes beyond the expectations of the fan base. It wouldn’t be enough to just make a game where you’re standing at the feet of a colossus.
He further added that his biggest concern about the VR is the motion sickness and he does not know if it would be a good idea to bring Shadow Of Colossus to VR. He added that he does not feel confident that the team would be able to find a work around this problem.
