During Bethesda’s Electronic Entertainment Expo 2017 media briefing, the studio announced a sequel to 2014’s third-person horror-survival titled The Evil Within. Prior to its official announcement, a leaked document that appeared on the internet suggested its presence.
The announcement trailer that we saw has incredible voice-acting and introduces the game with burning villages, dead bodies, dark forest, and of course the main character. In case you could not get your hands on the first one, the original Evil Within follows the story of a character named Sebastian Castellanos, in distorted world full of awful creatures and scary locations. The title is made of chapters, in which the player will have to survive using everything he finds around the way; the world will also transform, and powerful enemies will try every way to kill you with no hesitation.
Despite the first one being a mediocre experience, the trailer for The Evil Within 2 looks incredible and has Kojima-vibes that I love. Moreover, from what little I can tell, the upcoming game looks a whole lot different from the first one as if it is going to be a soft-reboot, but only time will tell.
The Evil Within 2 is scheduled to release on Oct. 13, 2017 for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. The game promises a lot of ton jump-scares and we believe it!
