EA Play has given us much to look forward to and if you missed out on the live action then you need not worry as we are going to cover everything that was revealed at EA Play 2017 in this EA Play 2017 roundup. We have seen a couple of gameplay videos that are enough to get you excited.
EA CEO Andrew Wilson took the stage and talked about the vision, the publisher has for the future and that the event would be shaped around 8 new experiences. Here we are going to highlight each one of those experiences.
The games that we see here have been confirmed beforehand(mostly) but we have got a better understanding of what to expect via gameplay videos revealed at EA Play 2017. Kicking things off with Madden NFL 18, the game got a new trailer that shows in-game action. There also seems to be a story mode that will be called Longshot.
Furthermore, we got to see some more content for Battlefield 1. The upcoming In The Name of The Tsar was teased at EA Play 2017 and things seem very interesting indeed. The expansion features 6 new maps, these also include night maps and there will also be some new units and weapons added to the game.
Operations mode is also getting some new conflicts and assignments. Battlefield 1 has been doing great, which is no surprise, looking at how well it has been made. It is nice to see it is getting new content and the support that it should be getting from the developers and publisher. The expansion will be released this September.
FIFA 18 was also shown off. Once again the game has been made using the Frostbite engine. Christiano Ronaldo is on the cover of the game and the football player has been motion captured in order to ensure maximum realism and immersion. We also got a look at the story mode of the game called “The Journey.”
Talking about Ghost Games’ Need for Speed Payback, a new gameplay trailer was revealed and it is action packed. Developers talked about the changes that they are bringing to the game and that this will be “the most diverse open world ever made” in NSF history.
More details about the character were also revealed and it turns out that players will be playing as 3 different characters and each one will have their own unique playstyle. We have seen this concept in games like GTA V and this should be very interesting seeing how this is a racing game.
A Way Out, an indie game from the creators of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons was also introduced at EA Play 2017. We have got a reveal trailer and from the looks of things, the game is about two brothers that have broken out of prison and are facing the harsh realities of life. The game has been designed with co-op in mind and can be played online.
This seems like a puzzle game but it is very interesting indeed and you will most likely be playing this game with someone rather than on your own.
Anthem is Bioware’s new IP and we saw a trailer for the game at EA Play 2017. The game looks very appealing and I am looking forward to checking out this one. Not much has been shared about the game but we should be able to learn more at Microsoft’s E3 briefing. You can check out the trailer below.
NBA Live 18 also got its first trailer and although not much is known about the game as of right now, what we do know is that there will be a combination of professional and street style play. A demo will be playable in August so stay tuned for that along with other details regarding the upcoming game.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 gameplay was also shown at EA Play 2017, this is one of the most anticipated titles that we were expecting to see at the event. We got a look at the solo campaign, which was missing from the previous game. Good thing developers have been taking feedback seriously.
The game connects Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, so it should be very interesting to see what the game has to offer. Battlefront 2 will feature triple the amount of content along with split-screen co-op, new planets, vehicles, and heroes. Stay tuned for more information regarding the game.
This was our EA Play 2017 roundup of everything that was shown at EA Play 2017, hope you found this useful.
