Dirt 4 Errors, Crashes, Login Issues, Rain Stage Crash Fix, Loading Screen and Other Fixes

How to fix dirt 4 errors, crashes, connectivity issues, loading screen crash, controls issues and other related problems.

Codemasters’ Dirt series has managed to secure a hefty audience over time and now, fans of racing franchise have been presented by DiRT 4. The game has the same essence of rally racing as other games in the series but if we compare it with Dirt Rally, it’s a little bland. However, if you can play this game something other than Dirt Rally, it sure is a good racing experience. Graphics are a bit dull but overall presentation is not that bad.

Performance wise, the game is looking solid and there have been only a few technical issue reports on PC platform. The Steam reviews for the game so far have been mixed and most people are comparing it with Dirt Rally which is not fair I believe. In any case, if you are facing any Dirt 4 error, crash or bug, you should check out the following listing for any relevant probable fix.

Dirt 4 Errors, Crashes, Bugs and Fixes

#1 Dirt 4 The Game Won’t Launch
The first thing you need to do is verify your game files. If some files were missing or corrupt, the client would download/fix them. It’s recommended that you run all the files present in the redist folder of your game’s directory.

If you haven’t, exit Steam and restart. This sometimes resolves the problem.

#2 Dirt 4 Crash to Desktop on Triple Screen
As a work around, play the game in only one screen until you have joined the dirt academy. After that, you can revert back to your normal resolution. I am not sure why, but this seems to have worked for some. Make sure that you are using latest version of GPU drivers.

#3 Dirt 4 Can’t Login to Racenet
You should make sure that the game is not being block by your firewall or antivirus software. You can always add an exception to your firewall to make it work. Also, if you have access to the router, try a quick restart as that might fix the problem.

#4 Dirt 4 Disk Write Error – Host Process for Windows Services blocking file
First, you should try running the game as admin. If that doesn’t work, you should make sure that your antivirus isn’t interfering with the game.

#5 Dirt 4 Crashes MSVCP100.dll and MSVCR100.dll not Found
You should locate the redist folder in your game’s director. Install all the executables in it and restart your PC. Try launching the game again and it should work. Keep in mind that if you don’t restart your PC, Dirt 4 won’t work.

#6 Dirt 4 – How to Fix Rain Stage Crash
A lot of players are facing this issue. If you are getting this problem too, you should disable mirrors as it seems to have fixed the crash for some. Do verify your game files first or download any missing patches.

#7 Dirt 4 Controls Issue
If you are using a racing wheel and you can’t navigate through the menus properly, you should first disconnect any other controllers you might have attached. If that doesn’t work, try disconnecting your mouse.
