Assassin’s Creed Origins Steelbook Gold Edition is outed by a retail leak. The leak once again confirms an Egyptian setting, something that a number of other leaks pointed out as well. The retail leak is an image of a reservation card for Assassin’s Creed Origins Steelbook Gold Edition.
Assassin’s Creed took a break in 2016 after the mediocre reviews and sales of 2015’s Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. The franchise was becoming stagnant, dull, and was on life support. Seeing this, Ubisoft took a couple of years off and now plan to release Assassin’s Creed sometime before Spring 2018. It was long rumored to be set in Egypt, more and more evidence point to this setting.
However, Ubisoft is yet to confirm anything of sorts.
Many would be skeptical about the image but what’s interesting to note here is that the protagonist is the same one we saw on the game’s leaked T-Shirt. Assassin’s Creed Origins T-shirt was spotted at GameStop and it showed the lead character.
The character, apparently named Ba Ye, is wearing the same clothes and wielding the same weapons and gear on the reservation card. An analysis of the T-Shirt gave us plenty of information about the game’s setting, story, and weapons. There was also a fake trailer leak earlier that was very convincing.
Ubisoft will be at E3 2017 on June 12 at UK: 9 pm (BST).
Would you like to visit Egypt in the next Assassin’s Creed? Or do you have another setting in mind for it? Take to the comments and let us know.
