With E3 and its accompanying conferences getting ever closer, more details are starting to surface. Since EA already revealed Need for Speed: Payback earlier this morning, EA has now released details about Star Wars Battlefront 2 gameplay. The gameplay reveal will focus on a 40-man battle, taking place in the city of Theed.
Theed, for those gamers that are familiar with the Star Wars prequels, may be familiar to you; the city is the capital city of Naboo, where the final battle of Star Wars: Episode I took place. And, with 40 players going at it all at once, we can expect a huge set piece that will hopefully generate even more hype than the original game.
The battle we’ll be seeing in the Star Wars Battlefront 2 gameplay will be taking place between Republic Clone Troopers and battle droids of the Separatists, led respectively by Darth Maul and Rey, two of the new heroes that will be added to the game to fit in with its two new time frames.
Also included in the demo will be vehicles: everything from AAT tanks to nimble AT-RT walkers, and even starfighters; players will be seeing N-1 starfighters battling Vulture droids high in the air.
Battlefront 2 having a wide variety of new maps across all three eras of the Star Wars movies, there are a wide variety of maps and effects that could be used, ranging from level destruction (possibly damaging buildings) to any other way that the effects of battle can show on a map. With the game coming out in November, players will be able to see a great deal of everything in the game on June 10.
The Star Wars Battlefront 2 gameplay preview will be happening on June 10 at 12:30 Pacific Time, and will give you a gameplay preview before the game launches on Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC in November.
