The new Need for Speed: Payback trailer has been revealed by EA at their press event this morning, showing off the game’s story and, of course, the huge amount of cool cars that we’ll be driving while playing the game. The game will be releasing on November 10, 2017 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
Need For Speed: Payback focuses on a group of criminals in the underworld of the fictional Fortune Valley area, as they team up to take down a collection of criminal groups known as The House. The House rules the city’s casinos, cartels, and cops, so if you want to take them down, you’ll have your work cut out for you.
The Need For Speed: Payback trailer not only shows off the story, but also everything that’s going to be either coming or returning with the game. These include the return of cop chases, and a whole bunch of new cars that will come in five categories.
These categories include Race, Drift, Off-Road, Drag, and Runner cars, and you can tailer each of your cars to excel in a specific area. What makes it especially interesting is that you won’t be buying these new cars; instead, you’ll be finding abandoned cars and returning them not only to their former glory, but beyond.
While we haven’t learned much about the rest of the game, the Need For Speed: Payback trailer shows off a lot of cool stuff for us to pore over, and will hopefully look even better if EA shows it off at E3 in a few weeks.
To see the trailer for yourself, look farther up this article, and if you’re a racing game fan you can keep up with Need for Speed as E3 comes and goes and the game gets closer and closer to its release date.
