GTA V has been very successful for Rockstar Games specifically its online components, GTA Online. Rockstar Games has been supporting the game with new content and updates and the studio is showing no signs of slowing down on that front as the studio has detailed the upcoming GTA Online Gunrunning update.
In the latest blog post, Rockstar revealed what will be included in the GTA Online gunrunning update. The update introduces bunkers, which are huge underground areas that look like the main hub of operations. Players will be able to store things in Bunkers like Mobile Operations Center. The update also brings weaponized cars.
Weaponized Vehicles are a brand new class to stock and customize Build a fleet to cover every eventuality: from the ultimate utility of the fully amphibious, canon-toting APC, to a mobile anti-aircraft trailer that’ll have pilots soiling their cockpits across the state. Weaponized Vehicles can also be employed as company assets instrumental in delivering cargo to any drop-off.
Furthermore, players will be able to command their bunker staff to conduct research that will unlock upgrades such as weapon mods and a “whole range of brutal tech” for vehicles. The update will be rolled out sometime in June.
In related news, GTA V is bring used to test driverless cars. GTA V is being used as a simulation to test the AI for the driverless cars. Given that the game has 14 weather conditions, thousands of NPCs roaming about and plenty of bridges and tunnels makes it the best simulation at the moment.
