Tekken 7 Vs Injustice 2: Choosing the Best Experience for You

This year is big for fighting game enthusiasts thanks to the release of Tekken 7 and Injustice 2. Tekken 7 released today while Injustice 2 has been out since last month. For a fan of this genre, choosing between the two can prove to be a difficult choice if you are not willing to spend money on both of them.

Both games, although from the same genre, are very different from one another and appeal to different sets of audiences.  These differences are going to help us decide which experience is the best for us.

First, we will discuss the newly released Tekken 7.

Tekken 7 vs Injustice 2 is an interesting discussion and it is actually not that hard to see what the best experience is for you. Tekken franchise has been around for a long time and has a strong fan base that will pick it up in a heartbeat.

The game is a traditional fighting experience so it is very easy to understand the gameplay mechanics. Compared to Injustice 2, Tekken 7 comes with a larger set of characters. It is a classic Tekken experience mixed with some new features such as cutscenes taking you right into the fight and being able to customize your health bar.

There is also a feature that allows you to look at cutscenes from old Tekken games which is a highly nostalgic experience. This lets newcomers catch up on the series’ plot which is surprisingly interesting for a fighting game. Its net code is pretty stable as well. Tekken 7 handles hardcore fans, as well as, newcomers pretty well.

Meanwhile, Injustice 2 is a different story and will mainly appeal to DCU fans. Its story is short but if you are a fan of these characters and this universe, you will see a handful of easter eggs and references throughout the game. Superman is tricked into killing Lois Lane and he went crazy. DC films are seemingly heading in the same direction, a big bad Superman. Batman will try to stop him but will he succeed? The story has just the right amount of replay value to it.

Netherrealms games sort of have proprietary gameplay mechanics so fans that come from Tekken or Street Fighter will need some time to get used to it. They are very similar to Mortal Kombat games released over the years by Netherrealms. However, compared to Tekken 7 there are more character customization options in Injustice 2. Moreover, if you are a PC user then your only option is Tekken 7 as there is no port for your platform.
