The third step in triggering the Event 30 is to train and do not matter which training activity you choose but, the event will not trigger if you don’t train. Once the training is done, the Magikarp will find something and Event 30 will commence.
Furthermore, during the event, the ghost will tell you to get out, and you can either choose to stay or leave. If you stay then she will tell you to get out so just choose to leave and the event will come to its end and Magikarp will have another level to its Max level.
