Using Rumors to Shape the Next Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed Origins

Assassin’s Creed Origins has been the talk of the town lately. There have been many rumors and speculations regarding the game and each of this rumor helps us form a shape of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed. Of course, not all of the rumors will come true but so far most of them seem legit.

Still, take everything with a grain of salt.

Assassin’s Creed took a break in 2016 after the mediocre reviews and sales of 2015’s Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. The franchise was becoming stagnant, dull, and was on life support. Seeing this, Ubisoft took a couple of years off and now plan to release Assassin’s Creed sometime before Spring 2018.

Desmond Will Return

The man that started it all back in Assassin’s Creed 1 is going to return. He is no longer with us so it hard to imagine exactly how will he make a comeback. However, rumor has it that Desmond Miles will return in the most unexpected way possible.

Gameplay Will Be Better Than The Witcher 3

Combat and gameplay in Assassin’s Creed games have evolved over the years and saw many changes including the addition of Parkour. However, with the release of Assassin’s Creed Origins developers are taking the gameplay one step further. According to another rumor, gameplay will be slightly better than The Witcher 3.

The 5th Dynasty

An image from Assassin’s Creed Origins leaked online recently which made us believe that the game could be set in ancient Egypt’s 5th Dynasty.

Origins Map Size is Huge

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag had a massive map, one of the biggest in Assassin’s Creed history. However, Assassin’s Creed Origins will feature a map that is three times bigger than Black Flag.

Multiple Characters

The first time we had multiple playable characters was when Assassin’s Creed: Revelations came out, we played as Ezio and Altair. The formula was later used in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and now we are hearing that Origins will also have multiple characters.

Altair’s Ancestor

Whether we play as one or multiple characters, we will be in charge of Altair’s ancestor. Altair Ibn-La’Ahad was the first “protagonist” of the Assassin’s Creed series, a Middle-Eastern Assassin that kickstarted the series that so many people know and love. We never explored his past and his origins.
