Tekken 7 went gold last month and as expected, the development team utilized the additional time until launch-day to further optimize and improve the game.
Taking to Twitter yesterday, series director Katsuhiro Harada cautioned players to have enough storage space beyond what the requirements state. The publisher previously revealed that the minimum space requirement for PlayStation 4 owners in North America is 42 GB. For the European region, the minimum requirement only increases to 45 GB in light of localization measures.
However, take note that there is also a day-one update that will weigh in at an additional 600 MB. Not to forget follow-up patches and the eventual release of the game’s season pass. Hence, it is important that you free up more space than required.
The latest installment in the iconic fighting franchise is scheduled for an official release tomorrow. Available for pre-order and pre-loading across all three platforms right now, a new update arrived last night that added the Double Elimination format to the game’s Online Tournament mode.
In addition, the patch notes mention optimizations for the online functionality; which is probably Bandai Namco getting the multiplayer module ready for an onslaught of players this week.
Tekken 7 hits shelves on June 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Pre-ordering the digital version nets you Eliza, the seemingly immortal blood-sucking vampire. The reviews started pouring on the internet yesterday and they are overwhelmingly positive.
