The Aorus X9 Gaming Laptop Features Dual GTX 1070s In SLI In A Laptop Form Factor
Aorus has made a name for itself in the gaming industry as a brand that makes premium gaming laptops. The brand has also started introducing gaming GPUs for desktops recently and for those of you who do not know, Aorus is the premium gaming brand of Gigabyte. The Aorus X9 gaming laptop was shown off at Computex 2017 and it has plenty of power under the hood.
The Aorus X9 gaming laptop houses 2 GTX 1070s in SLI and according to the company, you can expect GTX 1080Ti level of performance in this laptop form factor. This does indeed mean that this device will not be cheap and even though the exact price has not been revealed you can expect it to cost close to $5000.
When it comes to the screen, the Aorus X9 gaming laptop features a 17.3-inch display and you can choose to go with either a 120Hz QHD or 60Hz UHD panel. Both of these are G-Sync certified. The cooling has been customized so that the laptop does not make too much noise and the operation is silent but this is something that we will need to test.
Turning things down a notch we have the X7 DT v7, this laptop used the same display as the Aorus X9 gaming laptop but it is more economical as it uses only a single GTX 1080. This laptop is something that has been designed with content creators in mind and can provide plenty of power on the go. Both laptops feature RGB keyboards which are common these days.
Even though this model is cheaper than the X9, you can expect the price tag to be around $3000 for a variant with some decent specifications. At the entry level, we have the Sabre and Sabre Pro, these laptops feature the GTX 1050 as well as the GTX 1050 Ti which are great budget GPUs. These laptops start at $849.
