Tekken 7 Leo Tips – Playing as Leo
As Launchers, u/f + 4 and d/f + 2 remain as your best options. If you are looking for an easy combo, try d/f + 2, f + 2, b + 1, 4, KNK, 2, Screw!, f, f + 2. This is an easy combo because the b + 1, 4 will automatically put you into KNK stance and you will only have to press 2.
However, if you are looking for something a little advanced, try d/f + 2, f + 2, b + 1, 4, KNK, 2, Screw!, Forward Dash, f + 4~d/f, WS + 3, 1, 2. This is a slightly complicated combo because it requires you to dash in with f, f and then cancel it into d/f followed by a quick WS + 3, 1, 2. You can also use this combo to send your opponent to a wall for additional mix-ups. When it comes to a wall combo, you have a couple of options at your disposal.
First, you can go with b + 1, 4, KNK, 3, 4 that deals good amount of damage. Alternatively, you can try b + 1, 4~d/f, WS + 1 + 2. The second combo is a tad tougher to execute but deals more amount of damage. As a Leo player: it is important to realize that Leo has one of the best wall games in the game. Moreover, she is also a strong wall-carry so try to play to her strengths.
Leo also has incredible Mids and damaging Lows that you can mix-up to keep your opponents confused. A couple of Low poke options are d + 4 and qcf + 1. As mentioned earlier, her main strengths include her ability to wall carry. She becomes scarier near the wall because of her safe mid wallsplats and Lows with a follow-up. You can also space her d/f + 2 to make it a safe Launcher against a majority of the characters. However, do note that characters like Jack-7 will still be able to punish her d/f + 2. Her qcf is a dash that you can use to close in the distance or simply as an offensive tool.
She also has two stances i.e. a KNK stance and a BOK stance. You should use the KNK stance for combos and to wall carry. As for the BOK stance, you can use it to gain distance and confuse opponents with follow-ups. Coming to her punishes, her WS + 2 is an excellent Launcher if you manage to block a hard Low. Otherwise, her i11 WS punisher is one of the strongest in the game. Apart from this, you can also punish whiffs with d/f + 2. Unlike TTT2 and Tekken 6, her b + 1, 4, 2 does not allow you to start a combo.
Other than this, her Counter-Hit game is weak but it should not cause a problem as long as you stick to her strengths.
Overall, Leo is a well-balanced character with plenty of mix-ups, a strong wall game, strong punishments, and low skill ceiling. If you need to a simple character in Tekken 7, Leo is one of the options to look at!
