Check Out 88 Minutes Of New Shadow Of War Gameplay Footage With Developer Commentary

Shadow Of War is just a few months away from launch and since the reveal of the game developer Monolith Productions has been revealing new gameplay for the game. Now the devs have revealed 88 minutes of new gameplay footage for Shadow Of War showcasing abilities and conquering a fort.

In this is new gameplay video for Shadow Of War we see developers play the game and also talk about the different aspects of the upcoming game. In this new gameplay footage, we see Talion infiltrating a fort and taking on Orcs in order to conquer it.

Shadow Of Mordor was a critical and commercial success, however, not all gamers picked it up partly due to it being a new IP. But, Monolith Productions is quite confident about its sequel and are making sure that for those who did not play the first one, Shadow Of War will be an entry point for them.

It’s really important for us that this is a point of entry. This is sort of the bigger blockbuster version of the game, so if you haven’t played Shadow and you start playing this one, it should be pretty easy to get into. Even if you don’t have prior knowledge of the movies.

Recently, Monolith’s Michael de Plater talked about the things that worked and didn’t worked in Shadow Of Mordor and said that Shadow Of War will be the game that will fully realise the studio’s vision for the game.

The things that worked were the Nemesis system and the combat. The things that didn’t work were the scale and payoff of the story, and because we’re so focused on combat, there was a level of repetition.

I think sequels in videogames are sometimes easier. Things are so complex and hard that you’re going to leave a lot of stuff on the table on the first one. Number two is often the fully realized vision of the ideas you had in your head.

Shadow Of War is an open-world action adventure game in development at Monolith Productions and is scheduled to launch on August 22, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
