DICE is hard at work on the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront 2 and has been revealing new info about the game from time to time. However, some new info has been leaked for Star Wars Battlefront 2 that reveals that there will be two game modes for the game’s trial at EA Play.
The leaked info comes from Reddit, where user, Some_Info, also revealed new info about the game’s EA Play trial. According to the leak, players will able to play two game modes for Star Wars Battlefront 2 one single-player and the other multiplayer.
According to the leak, in the single-player mode players will be able to “play as Iden battling against rebel scums. She receives a highly secret and important message from a messenger of the Emperor and…. This will be only a demo mission”.
As for the multiplayer mode, it will be set on Naboo. “There will be a replacement for the Walker with the MTT. The mission comes in more phases”. Players will be able to play as heroes but there will be a limit if two heroes per side.
Speaking of Heroes in Star Wars Battlefront 2, DICE has confirmed that the studio is making all the playable heroes and villains less powerful so that more players can have fun with them. According to the devs, this will allow players to hold their own while facing a hero.
We want it be more likely that more players will experience [playing as a hero]. What happened then, is we had more heroes in the match at the same time, and that meant the troopers were kind of becoming the fodder. As a single trooper, it’s very difficult to stand up against a hero—much less two. We thought, how can we give you more tools so you’re able to hold your own against a hero, at least for a certain time? And the best answer we could come up with was team play.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is a first-person shooter in development at DICE and is scheduled to launch this fall for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
