Shenmue III Latest Development Diary Showcases New Character, Will Be Skipping E3 2017

It has been a while since developer Ys Net revealed anything related to its upcoming game, Shenmue III. The studio has been revealing new details through developer diaries and has released its third development diary showcasing a new character and also revealed that the game will not be showcased at this year’s E3.

The studio revealed that it will be skipping all game shows in June including the E3 and will be devoting the month of June to the game’s development and added that the studio will bring monthly updates about the upcoming game.

We have also been receiving questions from our backers regarding our plans to participate in upcoming game shows. While our schedule has yet to be finalized, we will be devoting June to game development and as a result, will unfortunately not be participating in any game shows. On the other hand, we look forward to bringing you our monthly updates and hope you do too!

Also, a rumor has been making rounds on the internet that suggests Shenmue HD Remaster will be released this year. According to the report, Shenmue HD Remaster will include first 2 games in the series and will be released ahead of Shenmue 3, which itself might slip to 2018.

Shenmue III is an open-world action adventure game in development at YS Net and will launch sometime in 2017 for PlayStation 4 and PC.
