Friday the 13th: The Game Counselor Weapons Guide
There are a variety of weapons for players to equip as the Counsellors that can be used for self-defense as Jason is impossible to kill. These weapons are scattered throughout the camp and you will have to locate them in order to use them. Some weapons are used to free yourself from Jason’s grasp and other are used to temporarily stun him and escape quickly. This guide will help you with how to use the weapon in Friday the 13th: The Game against Jason.
Machete is a light weapon with a fast swing. This weapon can be found in the cabins and is usually found on a table or a cabin. Machete is a convenient weapon that can get you out of a dire situation with Jason. Machete can save you from Jason getting a hold of you. If he spawns behind you just quickly swing the weapon to knock him back temporarily.
Once he is knocked out you can run away from him and lose him. Despite if its high durability and damage ratio, Machete has a low stun rate and because of this minor flaw you will have to use this weapon in the game only when explicitly needed or you can just swap it with other weapons you find on the map.
Hatchet is one of the rarest weapons in Friday the 13th: The Game. You can find this weapon outside in the barn, or inside some of the cabins resting up against the wall. This is a heavy weapon with very slow swing and an average stun rate, however, it has the highest damage rate and it can be used more than once.
Given that it is a slow weapon, you will need to get some distance between you and Jason if you decide to swing the weapon on him. This is one of the netter weapons in the game including the Shotgun and Machete.
The wrench is a common weapon in Friday the 13th: The Game. This weapon can knock Jason back and inflict a mild stun but, it would be recommended to just run if you have this weapon rather than stay and fight him. The Wrench can be found on a shelf or table inside the cabins.
The Wrench is useful if you like to work as a team. you can save your teammate if they are grabbed by Jason. Just swing the wrench and hit Jason from the back and if dome right he will drop the counsellor giving him and you a chance to flee the area.
The shotgun is one of the best weapons in Friday the 13th: The Game. The Shotgun cane found scattered around the map but, they are rare which is a price for being one of the best weapons. The shotgun can stun Jason but, has only one shot in it. Meaning after one shot it will be useless so drop it.
Because it can only be used once, you will have to save the shot for a time when you really need it. Also, have some distance between you and Jason while you decide to shoot so that you can flee from there.
The Baseball Bat is another heavy weapon in Friday the 13th: The Game which is quite similar to a Hatchet in terms of its function. It can be found in the cabins and deals a far more effective stun to Jason. So pick this up or a shotgun over a hatchet if given the opportunity.
This might be the best weapon to stun Jason, however, it is a rare weapon. Also, it has a slow swing so use it when absolutely necessary.
Fire Poker is a small weapon and because of this, it is a difficult weapon to spot and can potentially be missed. The best place to find this weapon is beside the fireplace and can also be found in other cabins too. Like the Machete, it also has a fast swing but, has less stun rate so it is less favourable over a machete.
This weapon is somewhere between rare and common and can be found on picnic tables or just lying about outside. Wooden Plank is a quite effective weapon, at least compared to a Metal Pipe or Hatchet in terms of dealing some stun.
This weapon is marginally faster than a Tree branch but it has somewhat of a slow swing and has low damage and durability.
This is another common weapon in Friday the 13th: The Game and is similar to cooking pot. It can be found inside the cabins and it is a mid-range weapon. Frying pan has a slight quicker swing compared to Cooking pot but has lower stun rate.
Tree Branch is a heavy weapon in Friday the 13th: The Game and the best place to find this weapon is out in the woods. If unarmed, the Tree Branch can be a useful weapon as it deals a hefty stun to Jason. However, it has a slow swing so use when absolutely required.
Cooking Pot is a common weapon in Friday the 13th: The Game and can be found in the same areas a the Frying pan. It is slightly heavier than the frying pan and deals some effective stuns to Jason compared to the frying pan. However, these two are mostly similar.
This is another common weapon in the game and can be found throughout the map most often inside the cabins on a shelf. It can deal mid-range stun to Jason if you encounter him while being equipped with this weapon. It has great durability.
