With the reveal of Xbox One Scorpio specs, there is no doubt that the upcoming console is way more powerful than Sony’s PS4 Pro. However, many gamers fear that the game for Xbox One Scorpio will suffer because of PS4 Pro as Sony’s console has a bigger install base. However, according to Slightly Mad Studios, Project Cars 2 will not suffer on Microsoft’s upcoming console.
Speaking with Gamingbolt, Slightly Mad Studios’ Andy Tudor made it clear that the upcoming game, Project Cars 2, will not suffer in terms of performance on Xbox One Scorpio because of PS4 Pro. He added that if there is something extra the team can do on Scorpio they will do it.
We may go higher resolution on Scorpio compared to Pro, or we may keep lower res but increase detail. Again, too early to say, and if we can do something extra on Scorpio easily we will do, we won’t hold it back due to Pro.
Also, Slightly Mad Studios has revealed that the development team is working hard to bring the game to PSVR but, added that they can’t make any promises. According to Creative Director Andy Tudor, the studio is working on PSVR version of the game and added he can’t confirm the game releasing for PSVR because there is a lot of work that remains to be done before that.
With PSVR we can’t confirm that it’s definitely coming, but our team are hard at work on it. The reason I can’t confirm that it’s definitely going to come out is because there’s a lot of work required to get the game running to our standards.
He also added that Project Cars 2 will take full advantage of PS4 Pro and Xbox One Scorpio but said that he could not reveal anything specific.
Project Cars 2 is an upcoming racing simulator game in development at Slightly Mad Studios and will launch in 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStaiton 4.
